Working Principle of Linear Vibrating Screen

The linear vibrating screen is driven by two vibrating motors. When the two vibrating motors rotate synchronously and in opposite directions, the excitation forces generated by their eccentric blocks cancel each other out in the direction parallel to the motor axis, and superimpose into a resultant force in the direction perpendicular to the motor axis. Therefore, the movement trajectory of the screen machine is a straight line. The axes of the two motors have an inclination angle relative to the screen surface. Under the combined action of the excitation force and the self-gravity of the materials, the materials are thrown up on the screen surface and move forward in a jumping straight line, so as to achieve the purpose of screening and classifying the materials. It can be used in assembly lines to realize automatic operation. It has the characteristics of low energy consumption, high efficiency, simple structure, easy maintenance, and fully enclosed structure with no dust emission. The maximum screening mesh size is 400 meshes, and it can screen out materials of 7 different particle sizes.

Application Scope of Linear Vibrating Screen

The linear vibrating screen (linear screen) is a high-efficiency and new-type screening equipment, widely used in mining, coal, smelting, building materials, refractory materials, light industry, chemical industry and other industries. The linear vibrating screen (linear screen) has the advantages of stable and reliable operation, low consumption, low noise, long service life, stable vibration mode and high screening efficiency.

The linear vibrating screen can also screen and classify powdery and granular materials, and is widely used in plastics, abrasives, chemicals, medicine, building materials, grain, carbon, chemical fertilizers and other industries.

Technical Parameters of Linear Vibrating Screen

The vertical sand temperature cooling tank is mainly improved and designed based on the first-generation horizontal tube sand temperature regulator for lost foam sand. The design principle of this equipment is to arrange the water pipes vertically to reduce the friction of sand on the water pipes. It cools the reclaimed sand of natural quartz sand and precious pearl sand to meet the requirements of the production process. It has the following characteristics:

  • It can cool the used sand to below 55 degrees Celsius, with stable working performance.

  • It can serve two purposes with one machine, both cooling and heating, to meet the requirements of different processes.

  • Adopting a vertical tube structure, it is convenient to use and maintain.

Based on years of practical experience of the company's technology and customer needs, the vertical sand temperature cooling tank is a new type of vertical water pipe cooling equipment designed to meet the automatic operation requirements of large-scale lost foam sand processing production lines at home and abroad. The equipment has undergone rigorous testing, featuring good cooling effect and reduced friction on water pipes. It is mainly composed of hundreds of cooling water pipes, equipment main body, temperature controller, sand dropping valve, level gauge, electrical control system and other components. During the falling process, the sand exchanges heat with the water in the water pipes to achieve the purpose of adjusting the sand temperature. It is equipped with critical (55 degrees Celsius) temperature detection, which can preset the sand temperature, and the production capacity ranges from 5t/h to 60t/h.

Features

Function and Principle of Linear Vibrating Screen

    The basic principle is to convert the rotational motion of the motor into three-dimensional motion (horizontal, vertical, and inclined) through the counterweights (unbalanced counterweights) installed at the upper and lower ends of the motor shaft, and then transmit this motion to the screen surface. Changing the phase angle of the upper and lower counterweights can change the traveling direction of the raw materials.

Motor Usage Instructions

This series of motors can continuously output the rated excitation force when the following conditions are met:

  1. 1.Vibration acceleration: not exceeding 7g (g: gravitational acceleration)

  2. 2.Ambient temperature: not exceeding 40℃

  3. 3.Altitude: not exceeding 1000m

  4. 4.Power frequency: 50Hz

Structure and Function Description of Each Part of Linear Vibrating Screen

This screen machine is mainly composed of a screen box, screen frame, screen mesh, vibrating motor, motor base, vibration-damping spring, support, etc.

  1. 1.Screen box: Welded with several types of steel plates of different thicknesses, it has a certain strength and rigidity, and is the main component of the screen machine.

  2. 2.Screen frame: Made of pine wood or wood with small deformation, it is mainly used to keep the screen mesh flat to achieve normal screening.

  3. 3.Screen mesh: There are several types of screen meshes such as low-carbon steel, brass, bronze, and stainless steel wire.

  4. 4.Vibrating motor: (see the vibrating motor user manual for usage and maintenance methods).

  5. 5.Motor base: Used to install the vibrating motor. The connecting screws must be tightened before use, especially in the first three days of trial use of the new screen machine, which must be repeatedly tightened to avoid accidents caused by loosening.

  6. 6.Vibration-damping spring: Prevents vibration from being transmitted to the ground and supports the entire weight of the screen box at the same time. During installation, the spring must be perpendicular to the ground.

  7. 7.Support: Composed of four pillars and two channel steels, it supports the screen box. During installation, the pillars must be perpendicular to the ground, and the channel steels under the two pillars should be parallel to each other.

Preparation Before Installation of Linear Vibrating Screen

  1. 1.Check whether the motor nameplate meets the requirements.

  2. 2.Measure the insulation resistance with a 500V megohmmeter. If the resistance value is too low, the stator winding should be dried, and the drying temperature should not exceed 120℃.

  3. 3.Check all fasteners of the motor to prevent loosening.

  4. 4.Check whether the motor surface is damaged or deformed.

  5. 5.Check whether the motor rotates flexibly; if there is any abnormality, it should be eliminated.

  6. 6.Check the power supply for phase loss, and run the motor without load for 5 minutes.

Installation and Adjustment

  1. 1.The motor should be fastened on the mounting surface, which must be smooth and flat.

  2. 2.The motor can be installed horizontally.

  3. 3.The motor lead wire adopts four-core rubber cable YZ-500V. When connecting to the power supply, the lead-out cable is not allowed to have sharp bends, and should be reliably fixed to the vibrating body.

  4. 4.The motor should be reliably grounded. The motor is equipped with a grounding device inside, and the lead terminal is marked. The grounding can also be realized by using the anchor bolts of the base.

  5. 5.Adjustment of excitation force.

Operation and Maintenance of Linear Vibrating Screen

  1. 1.The machine should be equipped with electrical protection devices.

  2. 2.In the initial operation period of the machine, check the anchor bolts at least once a day to prevent loosening.

  3. 3.If the rotation direction of the motor does not meet the requirements, adjust the power supply phase sequence.

  4. 4.The motor should be kept well lubricated. Supplement lithium-based grease (ZL-3) every two weeks of operation. When adding grease, an appropriate amount of lithium-based grease should be added through the oil cup. When sealed bearings are adopted, the motor is not equipped with an oil cup.

  5. 5.After the machine has been in cumulative operation for 1500 hours, the bearings should be inspected and replaced immediately if they are seriously damaged.

  6. 6.When the machine is used again after being idle for a long time, the insulation resistance should be measured with a 500V megohmmeter, and the value should be greater than 0.5MΩ.

Daily Maintenance of Linear Vibrating Screen

  1. 1.Before startup:(1) Check whether the coarse mesh and fine mesh are damaged.(2) Check whether the transportation support has been removed.

  2. 2.During startup:(1) Pay attention to any abnormal noise.(2) Check whether the current is stable.(3) Check whether the vibration is abnormal.

  3. 3..After use: Clean the machine immediately after each use.

Regular Maintenance

Regularly check whether the coarse mesh, fine mesh and springs are fatigued or damaged, and whether various parts of the machine body are damaged due to vibration. The parts that need lubrication must be oiled and lubricated.

Installation, Commissioning and Test Run of Linear Vibrating Screen

(I) Installation

  1. 1.Before installing the machine, first check whether the parts are complete and undamaged according to the packing list.

  2. 2.Install the equipment according to the installation drawing. The foundation should have sufficient rigidity and strength to support all dynamic and static loads of the vibrating screen.

  3. 3.Ensure that the minimum clearance of 75mm is maintained between the screen box and non-moving parts such as hoppers and chutes.

  4. 4.During installation, the four corners of the screen box should be level.

(II) Adjustment and Test Run

  1. 1.The springs must be in a vertical state, and the contact surface between the upper spring support and the spring must be horizontal. After adjustment, fix the upper spring support on the trunnion of the screen box with bolts, and then weld them into a whole.

  2. 2.The no-load test run time should not be less than 2 hours. After the no-load test run is qualified, the load test run can be carried out according to the process test run requirements.
